I had the opportunity to view a Philips LCD TV last week which displays native 3D pictures without the need for any glasses. It's still a prototype but wow it works extremely well. So hold off gonig for a solution requiring glasses as these will very quickly become yesterdays tech....

A few months back I was in a shopping centre on Finchley Road (02 centre I think) and outside the sainsbury's was what looked like a normal plasma TV with adverts, only with images that moved in a 'strange'way, on closer inspection the thing was showing '3D like' adverts (no glasses needed) - anyone else seen one of these?

I thought the BBC was also looking at this, because of the potential audience size sports events seem the way to go initially, with films and other progs being added later.

The TV set manufacturers must be salivating.
