"Consumers don't want another $400 box right now." I think this sentiment is exactly right. Anything that prolongs the life of the current generation of consoles will be welcomed by the consumer I feel (I know I will). I just hope it's as good as it looks.
£50?! I thought this would be another overpriced gimmicky piece of rubbish. Now the latter may still turn out to be the case and end up like a useless bit of kit like the Super Scope did years ago but at £50 at least Im now very tempted to give it a shot.
Basically all my rooms in my house are to small, as for all my mates that i can think of, so put that on a scale over the UK as houses aren't big like that of the USA. However the concept is amazing!
You don't have room to stand up in your house? Are you and your mates you can think of all giant Russian boxers?
I'd be more excited about Natal if I hadn't got all excited about the Wii and then been hugely disappointed. I hope Natal is groundbreaking and intuitive, bringing new ways to play games, I really do, but I'm pessimistic. Certainly with it priced at £50.
It's cool for sure and that Molyneux tech demo is nice. But that's not a game and wouldn't be at all fun to do. After 20 seconds when the character you are interacting with doesn't react to something you've said properly, which it won't most of the time, then it'll get boring quickly. I'm also not interested in flailing my limbs to hit balls or driving a car while standing up and stepping forward to accelerate, you only have to look at that to understand it would not work for racing games on any level.
So... we'll have to wait till they show off something worthwhile, it might take a while like it did with the Wii. Hopefully it won't get panned to death before that happens.
Why do I just not care about this in the slightest? Maybe if the supermarkets pull a MW2 I'll pick it up for the sake of it but otherwise I'm not holding my breath.

Woah! Woah! Say what you will about natal but i won't hear a word against the super scope. Why did i get rid of mine with those 6 great games on one cartridge :(
Everyone here has a bit of a geeky side. Who doesn't want Minority Style control over the interface, especially with media. If they released that for £100, me and plenty of others would snap it up.
Well I dont know about Zero but in my flat there definatly isnt enough room for a lot of the Natal functions, especially when waving your arms around! I had a Wii at one point but there simply wasnt enough room for one person to wave their arms around while playing, let alone two.
However being able to control the interface, as Alan Clinch mentioned, is very appealing! Wonder if itll also work with a HTPC
I can really only see this as a viable way of controlling your TV (the bit at the end with movie selection etc.) a bit like all those predictions years ago of how the "modern home" would look.
Otherwise, maybe fitness games. But why MS have large studios probably wasting millions trying to find a way to play an FPS... it seems all smoke & mirrors to steal any thunder from the Wii(motionplus) and Sony wand-thingy-bulb-on-a-stick.

I'll put good money down that they'll have a new chip mod or FM hack to get around this issue within 2 months! It'll be a cat and mouse apple itunes / Palm Pre fight...never ending.
