A dark, sad day for all... and I had my eyes on an LX6090 when I (hopefully) move house later this year, I'll still be able to nab one from somewhere tho!
Extremely happy I bought my LX5090 then. I thought something was up when they were next to impossible to get hold of. Definitely the best picture I've seen. The only problem I have with it sometimes it's so black I forget I left it on, seriously lol.
Here's hoping when it's time to upgrade (after this five year warranty probably) pioneer will back in the game.
Just a small correction but the 'M' models do not differ due to integrated TV tuners. They do not have a TV Tuner at all but still have the media box. They are simply visual display Monitors.
These are indeed brilliant displays and I'm glad I got the KRP-500A a couple of months back. It'll be at least a year or two before another manufacturer or display technology better's them.
@Orinj You're correct in saying the M's don't have an integrated tuner, but they don't have the media box either. They are just monitors, nothing more, and come with 2x HDMI, 1x component, VGA, DVI and (heh) composite video.
Ohmz - annoyingly no, some parts of the article creation process are bereft of spell checking. Not to mention news is unchecked before publishing, so mistakes are more prone to slip through - I tend to read the text I think I've typed, rather than what I actually have :)

RIP: Pioneer. never before have i seen any tv from the likes of sony, or samsung, or even panasonic delivery such build quality and image quality before. suddenly £2000 for that 50 inch kuro doesn't seem like so much anymore.
Does anyone know if the model numbers KRP-500M/KRP-500A and KRP-600M/KRP-600A are the European versions? If yes, what are the equivalent U.S. model numbers, and do the 'A' designations in the U.S. also come with the external receiver?
I'm ordering mine tomorrow! Already put a holding deposit down along with stand and speakers for it. Plus the BDP 51FD Blu Ray. Can't wait until it's delivered! Luckily I was just able to get one in the window of time which benefits from the 5 year warranty!
SteveB, are you in the U.S. or the U.K.? Also, if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to get in on the 5 year warranty myself...Which retailer or e-tailer did you use to put down your holding deposit? If you don't want to answer on the forums you can email me at SuckRaven@aol.com Thanks.
