any news on pricing yet for us people who bought computers with vista? in my opinion I should be allowed to upgrade to the equivalent 7 version as my vista for free as I purchased my laptop late last year.
@alchobot - not as yet, but I'd certainly hope for some discounts and also free upgrades for anyone who buys a new laptop or desktop (but probably not netbook) within a month or two of 7's release.
Don't get me wrong, we'd all like free upgrades, but it's not going to happen unless you buy a PC in the next few months with an upgrade option.
If Microsoft really wanted to get everyone on the Windows 7 bandwagon then they should make the pricing as attractive as possible to encourage people to upgrade.
Having said that, I'd rather just buy the software and give my PC a clean install. If I can get an OEM copy of Windows 7 Professional for under £100 I'd be pleased.
Having been in VLS since before XP I really don't know what a XP or Vista or Server 2003 / 2008 Boxes look like, so you can imagine how uninteresting this is for me. Also as you will probably stick a box shot on the pricing when it is released do we really need this 1st look at the Packet I will never see form the VLS site!
just kidding guys news is news and if you did now say some one would ask why not? :)
Comparing it to my Vista Home Premium box I've got here, the Windows 7 ones looks very nice and simplistic. Although the Vista ones weren't bad either, and the cases themselves are very cool.
