Under the heading "Before you buy" it says:
"Since you're running Windows XP, you can install an upgrade version of Windows 7, but you'll have to first back up your files, do a clean installation, then re-install your applications and files."
You cannot 'upgrade' in the real sense of the word. You still need to format and reinstall. Microsoft will just sell you a full version at an 'Upgrade' price... In anycase doing a clean installation is alwayus worthwhile...
if your netbook has xp on it dont waste your money on a full version just get the upgrade version, just because you cannot 'upgrade' in the literal sense you can still use it but just for a clean install (which I think is better) therefore saving your money.
