I pre-ordered 3 copies of Windows 7 Home Premium from Amazon at £45 each and would have certainly cancelled them if they were going to be upgrade copies.

I'm planning to dual boot vista and windows 7. I believe you can access the vista partition from windows 7 therefore able to transfer/access files across to windows 7? However, can you later reformat/clear the vista partition and then continue to use Win 7?

If they are definitely on different primary partitions then it shouldn't be a problem.

Phew! Glad i pre-ordered two copies. Like Gormond I would've cancelled my order as an upgrade edition would've been useless for me - need the full one for this PC I'm typing on which has run the Beta and now the RC version since it was built in February.

I shudder to think how MS are now going to screw us on pricing.

Now all they have to do is confirm that it is possible to upgrade from a beta or RC or RTM version of 7 to the final version.

I'm one of the many that went out and pre-ordered multiple copies of 7 at the incentive prices, looking to the Bay to sell afterwards. Todays news is rather good... :)
