Hmm - that is suggestive of extra effort of the Mac. Does anyone else see the relationship between Apple and Microsoft as conveniently warmer now that they have a common enemy that they spend every waking moment trying to destroy, in Google?
@xbrumster - Yes, the mods must be fans of True blood to have let that one slipped through :)
Back to the news-story, when I still had my Mac (R.I.P.) I found Open Office to be more then an adequate replacement for MS Office, especially as a native version was released recently for Mac that wasn't reliant on X11. Before that I used NeoOffice and both make for good Office replacements on OS X.
As someone who absolutely loathes the "formatting palette" and some of the stupid decisions that Microsoft made with Office 2008 (especially in comparison to Office 2007, which i love), this is great news to me :D Looking forward to it!
