Just bought one today from PC World, they are in stock in some stores. Overall, a nice piece of kit. Screen nice and bright and good viewing angles. Runs video nicely. For example the HP 2133 mini note struggled with video playback such as Itunes moviews downloads. Generally snappy all round.Only one major niggle so far, the speakers are really tinny and quiet, be warned!
It's £50 to £100 cheaper than the current MSI price postings on Play, Morgan Computers and Expansys.
My XP Wind arrives from play tomorrow (no I can't quite work out how either) so time will tell, subject to Parcel Farce managing not to smash it up!
Well, it arrived, not the speediest thing in the world, but I wasn't expecting it to be, but it does OK, it just stops to have a think occaisionally.
It looks very nice and has all the bits I would want, the screen is amazing and build quality surprisingly good, as is the keyboard (my last machine was a Thinkpad) and that is about it for now.
I will be throwing in another GB of RAM once I am sure it is not going to konk out on me, though the 'warranty void' sticker is a bit of a worry...
Only a few quibbles so far, the fan is almost always on, even though the machine feels very cool, though I suppose there may be a way to sort this later, the speedstep does not seem to be automatic, you have to step down the CPU with FN+F10! and the speakers are simply terrible, I would much rather have had a decent single than this awful stereo set!
