Do you think this could connect to a DSLR and upload photo's from it? Thinking about this as a backup device whilst on the go with my 5DMkII. The Raw file sizes are eating through my 4gb CF cards at ridiculous speeds!
I don't know if I'm reacting negatively to the miserliness of the 15 GB, or its innate weirdness as a number. And I was sort of hoping this was just a hard drive with built in Wi-Fi and some extra bonuses, given that I've never heard of UWB until now. Wi-Fi'd be much handier than constantly clicking a dongle round all over the place.
Am I missing something here? If you have to use a usb stick to transfer stuff to and from it why not just carry a 16GB USB stick in the first place and cut out the middle man.
Yeah that's a good point basic. I can understand the benefits of the larger form factor if say it actually WAS 150GB you could use wirelessly. Then it would be a bit better than a pen drive. Also, how strong or reliable is UWB? Ideally I'd just take the stick out and leave the fat thing in a bag, but the last thing I'd want is to be transferring maybe a gig or so and then have the connection fail halfway through.

Hi All _ I work for Leyio and it may be a good thing if I clear up a few misunderstandings. The USB key built into the unit is so that you can send folders to it and pass it to someone for them to take the info off it...or they can give you info and it synchronizes into your in box. It actually connects to your PC with a USB cable to let you send stuff to it to carry around. It also has a USB 2.0 port to let you share info with none Leyio users. The idea is that you can see on the screen what you are giving to someone rather than hand them a USB stick with all your data on it, it's also protected with your thumbprint. The UWB is ultra fast, there are some videos flying around of it working and the reviews by people who were at our launch are cool....!!
