Oooch - 80 quid for 320 gigs? Yes please. Is that normal now? Seems more than reasonable to me. I remember reaching that as the limit and finding it twice that expensive not too long ago. I guess the premium is now focussed on the 500GB portables. I think the size and price clinch this for me though.
That is one short cable. I hope it's just for show and will work with longer cables. I've had enough problems with the WD drives not working with a decent length cable. That cable looks as if it won't even reach my usb ports from the floor or the top of my tower case!
Luan: Only being able to use short cables is a limitation of most USB drives. I believe it's because they draw so close to the maximum power that USB is supposed to provide. Did your WD drive not come with an additional USB cable just for power? If that's too short as well just get an extension cable.

good god, you too? i thought it was just me... WD passport refuses to be recognized when using a 1 meter long cable.
