I'm not sure what the competition is (maybe just better-fitting tips on regular canalphones?) but I do find myself strangely tempted... I'm getting a bit sick of my Senne's falling out, and these would be great for long-haul flights too... hmm :)

I own the hf2 as well as the new Phonak Audeo and the Westone UM1, after 3 months of extensive testings on my iPod, I concluded that the hf2s with black foam tips were the best ones for me on pop/rock music. If you prefer jazz classic, Audeo are better.

Now hf2 with custom made tips sounds even better because I must admit that the black eartips are excellent noise repellant but they are not as soft as the Comply one that come with the audeo or the Westones...

Hopefully I can retrofit these custom tips ... (and hope they are soft silicone as well!!)

Thanks, well this got me thinking actually..

£90 ain't cheap for silicone eartips.

Any lab could make these eartips as long as they have the earphones and drill the right hole..

£50-60 seems more realistic I think.

£189 - I think I'll stick with cans!

I'll be getting some lovely Motorola HT820 ones (A2DP) off eBay to replace the ones I broke. The best bit? £25!

£90.00 seems a bit steep just to make them fit. I use custom fitted ear plugs at work, they come from Germany and only cost about £70.00 and they have some technolgy in them so that I can hear people talking but the loud noises go away. I use some Shure 210 sound islolating phones they work just great.

ACS will also do custom moulds for many other types of headphone, not just etymoyic.
