we are bone weary of being tied to propritary software, hardware, etc. Any company should have learned that after the JVS Beta war. Didn't anybody learn that from the HDD vs Blueray showdown. Even though Blueray is the defacto video format, I still haven't bought a DVD or player until it goes thoughupdate modification and the price of DVD's and players have come down. I'm sure that people are very aware that as new products come out there are at least 4 or 5 updates/improvements. Look at LCD TV's, now we have to contend with 240Hz, a new 4 pixel system and 3D --any other changes? We're not willing to be the first on the block or to see an investment in electronics/software become obsolescent in two years time. Hope the manufacturers are listening to you!!
