If I'm going to upgrade the solid state storage in an eee, I wouldn't want it to be any slower than the alread (VERY) slow storage it has in it. If I needed extra capacity I would buy a mechanical HDD. If I needed ruggedness I would have bought a proper rugged notebook.

I actually WOULD buy a 32/64 GB SDD for an eee but only if it was somewhere in the region of 100MB/s read and write...
