In a Windows world this device is 'acceptable'... just. Performance is slow, and you can expect a mere 10% of direct USB 2.0 speeds if you connect a USB drive to it. For things like scanners and printers it's fine though. However, on a Mac network, connections are hit & miss and some devices that connect fine to a Windows PC through the hub, and directly to a Mac, won't connect to the Mac through the hub. Best suited to sharing 'slow' devices in a Windows environment.
