Now we just need the mobile operators to offer GENUINE unlimmited data plans!

TBH, it is a top feature of the n96 (other s60 phones do work BTW), but please don't start the features / scores debate again ;) (although you could knock a couple of points of the features score for the iPhone for not allowing this to happen :) )
"The client will run using Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR), which will mean nothing to just about everyone reading this." ...well that may be what the BBC is hoping.
It's yet another so-called multi-platform enabler from a company that's not renowned for producing lightweight effective software (Acrobat Reader - case in point). Java, Silverlight, Air, what next?

Lets hope that Adobe fixes the issues with Air being only properly compatible with RPM based linux distributions so that those of us on dbian derivatives etc.
"This, folks, is why we have a license fee and should continue to pay it."
The irony is no doubt the license fee funds the lion's share of the Iplayer costs but you don't actually require one to watch Iplayer content. It's free if you live in the UK and only watch stuff that's aired already. Were it live transmission programs you were watching, then yes, you'd still need to pay that telly tax.
The iplayer works spot on with the N95 as well, you need the direct link to the app though (have a look in the internets). I think the only reason the beeb don't support it is because the N95 doesn't tell applications what type of internet connection it is using and the Beeb are not supporting 3G connections.
Not sure if that is to protect them from complaints about high bills or complaints from the operators!
