Raising taxes may now be in vogue, but when your entry level laptop is north of 700 quid, a recession-friendly OS X tax reduction would let this barrage of 'first timers' Apple bangs on about, that they are actually aware of the pinch.
As I've said before, the trouble is that as long as Apple never actually admit what premium they feel they deserve, it remains completely theoretical, and thus easy to adjust at will. And like all not-so-stealthy stealth taxes, we all know it's there even if no one says it is.
