Anyone know if an iphone 1st gen will work on the 3 network? I heard they default to orange for non 3g coverage. If this is the case would the email offer be conditional on using a 3g handset in a 3g area?
iphone 1st gen does NOT support 3 sim card. It'll display warnings such as 'no sim inserted' or 'sim not supported' on ur phone. Rather disappointing, isn't it?
this is pure and simple product placement.what is newsworthy about push mail you have to subscribe to?.ok the site has become almost unviewable due to splash adverts but now they are considered as reviews
"What is newsworthy about push mail you have to subscribe to?" I'm gonna go with what it says in the story - the fact that it doesn't come out of your regular data allowance because you're paying just £2.50 a month for email access. And I don't need to use a poxy Blackberry to do it either.
I really don't understand the second half of your comment either
I do like 3, I really feel at times that they are actually trying to push forward and improve the mobile market with thinks like their "3 like home" office where you can use your inclusive minites and texts to call/text back to the UK so you dont get ripped off with overseas charges (although this is unfortunatly only in countries that have a 3 network, hopefully theyll spread a bit more in the future) and the unlimited data packages, USB mobile broadband data packages and tariffs (cheaper than getting a BT line!!). So this is good news, will give it a go with my hotmail account
Just to note, I may have missed it in the article but it didnt seem that clear to me that if you already have the unlimited data package from 3 (and for £5 who wouldnt! :-p) then you can use this service for free...
Now, if they could only bring back inclusive MMS then thatd be great, not sure why that got cut...
