ZTE CES 2014 line-up includes smartwatch, Iconic Phablet and Projector Hotspot

ZTE is set to have a very busy CES 2014 as the company will launch a range of devices which includes a smartwatch and the Iconic Phablet.

During the Las Vegas-based CES tradeshow, ZTE will unveil a wide range of new products including the flagship ZTE Grand S2.

“ZTE has been developing a portfolio of fantastic consumer electronics on top of the smartphones for which we’ve become well known”, said Zeng Xuezhong, ZTE EVP and Head of Mobile Devices Division. “This year, we will be focusing on pairing unique designs with unparalleled technology in order to offer customers the best possible experience at an affordable price.”

The Chinese electronics manufacturer will use CES 2014 to launch its new flagship smartphone, the Grand S2. It features intelligent voice control technology, uses voice recognition to unlock the phone and other voice activated features.

This will be joined by the ZTE nubia 5S and nubia 5S mini, which both use quad-core Snapdragon processor and offer “professional-grade photography hardware”.

The nubia 5S has a 5-inch 1080p FHD display, a 13-megapixel rear camera with a Sony RS sensor, F/2.0 aperture and 4K video capture. The smaller nubia 5S mini has a 4.7-inch IGZO display.

ZTE is also launching a 4G smartphone named the ZTE Sonata 4G with a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU, 5-megapixel rear camera, and 4-inch display.

CES 2014 will also be used to launch the first Iconic Phablet. This 5.7-inch HD display device allows users to use two applications simultaneously on one screen. It is powered by a quad-core processor, has Dolby Digital Sound technology and wireless charging functionality built-in.

A full specs sheet for all of the above will be released at a later date.

Aside from smartphones and tablets, ZTE will also be launching the Projector Hotspot, which is a mini projector and 4G Wi-Fi hotspot in one.

The ZTE BlueWatch, the company’s first smartwatch, will also be launched at CES. According to the initial specs sheet, the BlueWatch will have a pedometer and users will be able to control calls, the camera, social media and other content on their wrist.

It’s not clear what form the smartwatch will take as yet, but with CES only a few days away we won’t have long to wait for more information.

TrustedReviews will be at CES to bring you all the latest information.
