Yoshi’s Woolly World coming to Wii U in 2015

Nintendo has announced a brand new Yoshi game for the Wii U, Yoshi’s Wooly World.

Sort of a continuation of the theme set out by Kirby’s Epic Yarn, Nintendo has decided to create a woollen world for Yoshi to explore.

Apparently the game is centred around exploration and Yoshi’s abilities are key to the way he discovers new location in the “vast game world”.

“It’s turning out to be an action game where you can have fun in a wide range of ways”, explains Nintendo. “His tongue is the most powerful weapon, even though it’s a bit weird to call it a weapon.”

Yoshi himself is made of yarn, not just the game world, which changes up the gameplay a bit. You can play around with unravelling yarn and yarn balls to access new locations.

The game also features a new two-player co-operative mode that will allow “two people can play to help each other out.”

“In tough situations, if there are two players they can both overcome it.”

One Yoshi can even even eat up the other and spit him out in a different location that means “really a wide range of gameplay is possible”.

“This time it’s about a textured look and we wanted to give the world a handmade feel”, and the Nintendo team even created their own woollen world to give it that extra handmade touch.

“A game should bring a smile to your face just by owning it”.

The Yoshi Woollen World release date has been scheduled for some time in 2015.
