Xbox One Upload Studio

Microsoft has released a major update to the Xbox One Upload Studio, adding support for 30 minute videos and more.

Today, February 17, the Xbox One Upload Studio is receiving a major update, which will introduce a host of new features to the service.

The main few feature is the ability to create a video with up to 15 segments and a total runtime of up to 30 minutes. Previously the max length of videos up to five minutes, so that’s a huge upgrade for the Upload Studio.

To make your videos even more impressive, Microsoft has also added transitions, title cards, intros and effects, splashscreens and templates. There’s also green screen effects and a double-box option.

You’ll also be able to add text overlays and voice-overs to any clip within the 30 minute video.

“The team’s goal is to give you all the tools you need and the flexibility to use those new features however you see fit”, explained Major Nelson.

In the new menu, you can now choose to manage your clips or record a brand new one from the left hand panel. But all the new features are available in the “Start from Scratch” option.

Some of the brand new transitions and effects include some dramatic overlays including explosions or game-themed options such as Halo, Minecraft or Sunset Overdrive.

You can even choose from the templates and then just choose your own DVR clips to fill the spaces.

Of course, if you’re feeling a little more creative, you can mess around with the new green screen-style effects with Kinect, which is rife with comedic possibilities.

Xbox one is simply fantastic. Missing out on the ride that is already beginning with microsoft and xbox one is just foolish in my opinion. Cannot wait for the 2015 exclusives, windows 10, direct12 and hololense !
