Xbox One UK price cut introduced as Titanfall bundle announced

Microsoft has announced the first official Xbox One UK price cut, just in time to announce a special Titanfall Xbox One bundle.

From February 28, you’ll be able to buy the Xbox One for £399.99, £30 cheaper than its original RRP.

Although it doesn’t quite bring the price down to match the £349.99 PS4, the UK price cut may well entice some more Xbox 360 gamers to make the next-gen leap.

“The reason we’re doing this is that we’re committed to giving gamers the best value we can”, said Harvey Eagle, Xbox UK marketing director. “We’re only a few months into a generation of consoles that are going to last for many many years to come. And now just feels like the right time to make the adjustment on the price.”

Microsoft also revealed it is launching a Titanfall Xbox One bundle and is available to pre-order now for the same £399.99 price tag, effectively meaning you get Titanfall for free with a brand new Xbox One.

“To celebrate the launch of Titanfall, we wanted to do something special”, said Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate VP of Market, Strategy and Business at Xbox. “If you’ve been waiting for the biggest game of the generation before purchasing your Xbox One, this special, limited time offer is perfect for you.”

The Xbox One Titanfall bundle offers a download core for the digital copy of Titanfall, the standard Xbox One console, Kinect sensor, Wireless Controller, Chat Headset and a voucher for a free month of Xbox Live Gold.

“Of course, this is an incredible deal, only offered to celebrate the launch of Titanfall, for a limited time,” added Mehdi.

You can also purchase the official limited edition Titanfall Wireless Controller, which have already completely sold out once before. The Titanfall Xbox One Wireless Controller has now been restocked, but will set you back £54.99 up £10 from the original £44.99 RRP.
