A number of Xbox One pre-order consoles have already started hitting gamers’ doorsteps two weeks before the PS4 rival is supposed to go on sale.
Despite the Xbox One release date not being set to take place until November 22, US retailer Target has jumped the gun, with a number of Xbox One pre-order customers have revealed that they have already received their next-gen consoles.
In a move that is sure to infuriate manufacturer Microsoft ahead of the company’s big release later this month, some Xbox One pre-orders placed through Target started appearing on doorsteps on Friday, a week ahead of the PS4 release date in the US and two weeks before the Xbox 360 follow-on should have landed.
While most Xbox One pre-order customers around the world are still waiting on their next-gen consoles, those who have received their consoles have revealed a number of new details on the upcoming devices and the surrounding services.
According to those who already have the Xbox One, the console’s boot-up time has been measured in at a a speedy 17 seconds. What’s more, the day-one patch download, required to enable the Xbox One able to play games measures in at 500MB.
With one new Xbox One owner, who goes under the Twitter handle @MoonlightSwami, posting a hands-on video with the console to YouTube, Microsoft has since blocked his new console as well as forcing the video clips to be removed from the web.
Prior to the console ban, the user revealed just how sizeable some of the Xbox One game downloads will be, with NBA2K14 set to line up at 43GB. Further leaked titles include Call of Duty: Ghosts and Forza 5 will line up at 39GB and 31GB in size respectively.
