Xbox One Games with Gold, new info coming soon

Microsoft has suggested new information on the Xbox One Games for Gold service will be announced shortly.

According to Phil Spencer, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Game Studios, information surrounding the Games with Gold service for Xbox One is coming soon.

“Phil when can we expect games with gold for xbx1? Summer, fall?”, asked one Twitter user.

“Answer to this will be coming fairly soon,” came Spencer’s reply.

Following on from the very successful PlayStation Plus subscription service that offers free PS4, PS3 and PS Vita titles, Microsoft launched the Games with Gold service for anyone with an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

Games with Gold offers a duo of new games with every calendar month for games to download for free onto their Xbox 360 console. The first one is available on the first day of the month, with the second released half way through the month.

If you don’t download the free game within its two week availability period, you will miss out on getting the bargain.

Currently the Games with Gold service is only available on Xbox 360, with Microsoft yet to announce any details on the availability on the service for Xbox One.

For February 2014, you can get Dead Island for free, with Toy Soldiers: Cold War replacing it from February 16.

Sony has already made the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection available to PS4 gamers, with titles like Contrast and Don’t Starve available as free downloads.

What games would you like to see included in the future Games with Gold service for Xbox One?
