Xbox GamesCom press conference confirmed

Microsoft has confirmed it will be holding an Xbox GamesCom press conference ahead of the show in August.

Although Sony has confirmed it won’t be holding a GamesCom press conference, instead waiting until Paris Games Week in October, Microsoft is definitely going to have a strong presence at GamesCom.

The GamesCom 2015 Xbox Briefing will take play on Tuesday, August 4 at 4pm CEST or 3pm BST.

According to Xbox, the press conference will build on the exclusive titles announced at E3 2015, but also touch on those that were absent from the LA-based show.

“During our E3 2015 Xbox Briefing, we shared the first part of our vision for the future of Xbox gaming,” explained Xbox in a blog post. “That will continue when the Xbox Team takes the stage the evening before gamescom officially kicks off to share the latest on the games coming to Xbox One, including highly anticipated titles like Scalebound, Quantum Break and Crackdown.”

“We’ll take a closer look at those and other upcoming games, as well as share some exciting announcements.”

We reckon you could see a big showing of Inside, the new Xbox One timed-exclusive from Playdead, the developer behind Limbo.

Apparently, Microsoft-owned studio Press Play, the developer of Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Kalimba, is going to take to the stage to show off a new project too.

TrustedReviews will be on hand at GamesCom and Paris Games Week to bring you all the news as it happens.
