Xbox 360 Spring Value bundles launched by Game

Game has launched two new Xbox 360 Spring Value bundles, in an attempt to boost console sales prior to an Xbox 720 reveal.

The two Xbox 360 bundles both come with the latest 250GB hard drive console, two games and one month’s free access to Microsoft’s Xbox Live Gold service.

The first Xbox 360 Spring Value bundle is offered with a token to download the full Batman: Arkham City game and a physical copy of Darksiders 2. The 250GB Xbox 360 console comes with one wireless controller and the whole bundle will be priced at £199.

For those also looking to purchase Microsoft’s motion gaming peripheral, Xbox Kinect, can opt for Game’s 250GB Kinect Spring Value Bundle. This more expensive option will set consumers back £299, but comes with the 250GB Xbox 360 console, one controller and the Kinect Sensor, as well as the disc-based Fable: The Journey game and a code to download the Wreckateer game from the Xbox Live Games On Demand service.

Both Xbox 360 Spring Value Bundles will be available to buy from Game shop and the retailer’s online store for a limited time.

Xbox 720 Rumours
Like the recently launched PS4 console, the Xbox 720 or codename Xbox Durango is due to hit UK shelves sometime before the end of this year. However, Microsoft has been tight lipped so far, refusing to even confirm if its next-generation console is even in production, let alone giving us any information about its specs or features. Although recent rumours suggest the Xbox 720 could be unveiled this week.

This has not stopped the tech community from discussing the potentialities for the Xbox 720, with even some alleged leaked patent filings appearing online. The latest rumours suggest that the Xbox 720 will feature an eight-core processor and 8GB of RAM, alongside a fixed hard drive design that looks set to scrap the current modular HDD design of the current console.

The Xbox 720 could feature the remodelled Kinect 2 sensor as a main feature of its user experience, with improved voice commands to be introduced to rival the likes of Siri, allowing the next-gen console to become the ultimate home entertainment device Microsoft hopes it will be.

Microsoft’s next-gen console could also utilise two separate CPUs for dedicated multimedia and gaming processing and the rumoured Xbox TV service and 3D gaming technology could also make appearances.

Are you tempted to buy one of Game’s Xbox 360 Spring Value Bundles? Is this a hint that the Xbox 720 could launch any day now, as retailers attempt to flog their Xbox 360 stock? Give us your thoughts on the matter via the TrustedReviews Facebook and Twitter feeds or use the comments section below.
