WWE Royal Rumble 2018: How to live stream the event online for free

The WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view airs this Sunday night. The winners of both the mens and the first-ever women’s Rumble matches get a world title shot at WrestleMania. Here’s how to stream the Royal Rumble live online.

This year’s Royal Rumble event takes place on Sunday night in front of the ever-raucus Philadelphia crowd at the Wells Fargo Center.

The event will be streamed live on the WWE Network, the over-the-top streaming service available on iOS, Android, Smart TV apps and through your web browser.

The Royal Rumble event officially gets underway at the special start time of 19:00 EST in the United States, which is midnight UK time.

However, there’s a two-hour pre-show that includes preliminary matches and an all-star panel. The pre-show also airs on the WWE Network from 17:00 EST (22:00 UK time).

If you (or another member of your household, family, friendship group) have never subscribed to the WWE Network before you can watch this event free as part of the company’s 30-day free trial.

Road to WrestleMania

Of course, the Royal Rumble signals the beginning of the Road to WrestleMania, so the company wants you to stick around for its ‘Super Bowl season’.

The event is headlined by the traditional 30-man over-the-top-rope battle royal with Roman Reigns, Finn Balor and Shinsuke Naramura among the favourites to go on and face a World Champion at WrestleMania.

Rumble 2018

The 2018 Royal Rumble also marks the first ever women’s rumble match. Rumours have been rife former UFC megastar Ronda Rousey is going to make her debut at the event.

The WWE Championship match features AJ Styles defending his title in a handicap match between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar defends the Universal Title against Kane and Braun Strowman.
