Smart home product maker Withings has announced that its Home monitoring system will be compatible with Apple TV.
Withings Home is a video monitoring and environmental sensing device that features a camera and air pollution sensor.
The device will be integrated into Apple’s new product in the form of an original app that comes with Apple TV.
Home sends smartphone notifications and records cloud-stored videos each time something noteworthy happens such as sound or movement.
The Withings Home app on Apple TV can support multiple cameras meaning the TV screen can broadcast up to four live videos in HD.
As well as its 135 degree wide-angle lens, it also tracks indoor air pollution and works with smartphones, tablets, Apple Watches and Apple TV itself.

Alerts are displayed in an interactive timeline that turns the dedicated application into a home diary.
Cedric Hutchings, CEO of Withings said “We are excited by the introduction of tvOS and echo Tim Cook’s comments that the future for television is apps.
“Our first Apple TV App is for the Withings Home and features multi-camera surveillance screens that help to monitor every part of the home environment.”
