Windows 10 Mobile tipped for ‘November’ release

Microsoft is currently aiming for a November launch of Windows 10 Mobile, according to a new report.

We were originally expecting a September/October release for the mobile version of Microsoft’s latest OS.

However, Microsoft South Africa’s Anthony Doherty told tech site iAfrica that the company was targeting a “November timeframe”.

It’s worth noting that “timeframe” is a pretty loose term, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the November release was changed before then.

Also, the source is a website based in South Africa, so there’s a chance the quote may not have been relevant to UK and US markets.

That’s good, however, because the UK and US are likely to get Windows 10 Mobile before South Africa and, as such, possibly before November.

At the very least, this is the first definitive word from Microsoft we’ve had regarding a Windows 10 Mobile launch date.
