Windows 10 Mobile release date set for September, maybe
Windows 10 is nearly here – we’re looking at a July 29 launch. But the Windows 10 Mobile release date has been a mystery, until now anyway.
Fortunately, a new report courtesy of Neowin offers insight into the launch of Microsoft’s next mobile operating system.
According to the article, Microsoft recently held a presentation that said: “
Next quarter is anywhere between July and September, so “late” implies that September is the likely candidate.
However, the spokesperson did say “possibly as early as September”, suggesting October as a more likely candidate for the launch month.

So how likely is this information to be true? Well we know a big update is coming to Windows 10 in autumn, so the Mobile launch gels with that at least.
It also gives Microsoft two months from the launch of Windows 10 to polish the Mobile version in time for full release.
This information is intended for manufacturers however, so there’s no saying for sure that regular users will see the software in September.
Microsoft recently announced it would ship Windows 10 Mobile updates directly to smartphones, so that will speed the process up slightly as users won’t need to wait for carrier approval.
