Will the Nintendo NX support VR? We’re not so sure anymore
Nintendo has revealed that it is “researching” VR for the NX, but decided against showing it at E3 2016.
In a recent shareholder’s meeting the Japanese company confirmed that it is “researching” virtual reality, but is yet to showcase its technology due to potential “imitators.”
It’s safe to assume that Nintendo is referring to HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, as well as Sony’s upcoming Playstation VR headset.

We currently know very little about the NX, and whether it will support virtual reality upon its release.

The fact that Nintendo is still researching the medium and its potential capabilities has us doubting such a feature, especially when the system is set to launch in March 2017 alongside The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
It’s exciting to know that Nintendo has its innovative eyes on virtual reality, though. It seems to be taking a different approach than its competitors, focusing on player comfort and value that will appeal to a wider, more family-focused market.
