The Apple Watch has been with us for about two months now. That’s apparently long enough for rumours to start trickling out about its sequel.
The latest off the grapevine suggests we’ll see one major feature return from the original Apple Watch.
We’re talking about the display – according to a report out of South Korea (via GForGames), the Apple Watch 2 will use a screen of the same size, resolution, and shape.

That’s really no surprise – switching to a round display would be a huge headache to developers who’ve designed their apps to fit the display.
Similarly, modifying the resolution also means developers have to switch up the design of their apps.
Maintaining screen proportions is a design ploy executed really successfully with the iPhone.
Thus the chance of Apple straying from this method of operations is very slim indeed, despite the growing trend for round-faced wearables.

Just last month, a separate report revealed that Apple is likely to stick with a P-OLED display for the Apple Watch 2 as well.
Of course, this begs the question as to what exactly Apple will change for its next flagship wearable.
Obvious additions include a camera or an embedded fingerprint scanner, although Apple hasn’t revealed anything about its next smartwatch thus far.
