HP’s support website has revealed some juicy details on two new laptop ranges. Envy is the company’s high-end range, including models like the HP Envy Spectre Ultrabook and HP Envy 14 Beats Edition. Now there are two new ranges on the block, the Envy 4 and Envy 6. We’re guessing the numbers may refer to screen size, though if so it’s a far murkier designation than the previous two-digit naming scheme.
The Envy 4 page has since been taken down, but the Envy 6 page confirms that these are indeed laptops, and even lists two models: the HP Envy 6-1020ss Notebook PC and HP Envy 6-1030ss Notebook PC.
Whether the 4 and 6 are updates to existing Envy products or completely new laptops (perhaps of the Ultrabook variety) is also unclear, but we’re fairly certain these HP laptops will use Intel’s new Ivy Bridge CPU and GPU combo – and if the performance of the previously leaked HP EliteBook 8470p is anything to go by, they will be absolute speed demons in consequence. While we’re speculating, Beats Audio also seems a sure bet.
