We can’t get over this awesome portable N64

One ingenious creator has made an awesome portable N64 that we can’t quite get over.

If there’s any console that we still hanker over, it’s the classic N64 in all its retro glory.

We’re loving Xbox One backwards compatibility, but it’s just not filling that N64-shaped hole for us.

Well, clever tinkerer Zachariah Cruse has built an awesome portable N64 that we would love to have a go on.

Cruse created the device using an old N64 console, a re-purposed 3.5-inch car monitor and a heavy sprinkling of experience.

Thus was born the Grape 64.

Sadly, Cruse isn’t selling his beautiful creation, but he has shared some rather extensive build instructions on his website.

He explains that you’ll need to know and understand about soldering and electronics. Plus, if this is your first build, it might not end up looking quite as wonderful as his does.

Cruse actually build the Grape64 back in 2011, but only just shared his creation with the world via Imgur.
