This electric bike claims to be the fastest around, with a top speed of 28mph. It’s cheaper than most, costing just $549 (£368) for a limited time only.
Wave is powered by a 48-volt, 750-watt hub motor that helps it achieve its ludicrous speed. Though be warned, EU legislation says electric bikes have to cut out their assisted power at 15.5mph. So you may be in a sticky legal situation if you ride it on British roads.
It also has plenty of range.
In purely electric mode, it will still go 26 miles, which is plenty.
The introductory price also seems very low compared to most pedal-assisted bikes. But the price won’t stay that low forever. It will soon shoot up to $999 (£670), which, while still cheap for this kind of vehicle, sounds a bit more par for the course.

You get a choice of six colours: black, white, red, silver, yellow and blue. If it can raise enough funds, the firm might also offer more colour options, six-speed gears, lights, solar panel charging, a bigger battery, quick release wheels and different seat options.
It’s shot past its $70,000 funding goal and still has 11 days to go.
