Watch: Guy loses drone, rescues it with even bigger drone

It seems like drones are everywhere these days, but they’re still prohibitively expensive for a lot of people.

That’s why if you lose one, there’s a big financial incentive to retrieving it.

Well quadcopter enthusiast Harrisen Howes did lose his drone, but he had a genius rescue operation in mind that – fittingly – involved a second, larger drone.

“Two months ago, my roommate drunkenly lost my small drone on a neighbour’s roof,” Howes.

He adds: “Two months later, after upgrading to a larger drone, I attempted a rescue of the smaller drone using hooks I made from coat hangers.”

The rescue drone in question was a DJI Phantom 3 Professional, which typically retails between £1,159 and £1,399.

However, we’re a bit confused as to why Howes didn’t just borrow a ladder and retrieve the drone himself.

We’re also glad he didn’t.
