Watch Dogs multiplayer detailed in 9minute video

Ubisoft has released a 9 minute trailer for the Watch Dogs multiplayer, detailing how the online portion of the title will function.

This is the first time we’ve seen Watch Dogs multiplayer in action, but now we know that you’ll be able to take part in 8 vs 8 death match action.

Each player will appear like Aiden in their own game, but will look like a generic NPC in other people’s.

You will be able to hack into their game, but they’ll be notifying that you’re trying to get in a back door and try and hunt you down.

If you manage to hack someone else’s game, you’ll gain some notoriety points that will let you upgrade your skills.

You’ll also be able to have some Watch Dogs multiplayer fun via mobile too, hacking helicopters and interacting with console or PC gamers.

Everything you do online will contribute to your skill set too in single-player mode it seems.

The 8 vs 8 Competitive Decryption Combat multiplayer gameplay will see you trying to steal and decrypt a file. You’ll need to race to pick up the file, but the actual decryption process takes time, giving the other team a chance to steal.

Watch Dogs will launch on PC, Xbox One, PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360 on May 27. Watch the full multiplayer gameplay trailer below.
