Watch Dogs 2 could be perfect for gaming pacifists
With so much death, destruction and hate dominating the global discourse, some folks might feel the need to avoid killing in their leisure time, even if they are asked to wipe out a squad of baddies.
If you’re among those seeking to end the violence, the forthcoming Watch Dogs 2 release might be for you.
The game will feature a new “ghost hacker” mode that enables gamers to play through the entire campaign without using deadly force.
The mode will make it possible to create distractions when the time would usually come to whoop ass.
Beyond that, there’s a new “trickster hacker” mode, that, according to Watch Dogs 2 director Danny Belanger, will make it possible to complete missions without being there.

Belanger told the PlayStation blog (via The Verge) “The player has the freedom to play the way they want.
“
“We’re using three playstyles to talk about the game. The combat hacker — who is more proactive and uses hacks to take down people. There’s the ghost hacker — they can use hacks to distract and make noises. And then there’s the trickster hacker. They can finish a whole mission without actually physically being there.”
For those seeking the standard combat experience, fret not, there’ll still be plenty of opportunities to kill and maim.
Watch Dogs 2, announced at E3 2016, will arrive on Xbox One, PS4 and PC in November.
