Watch Amazon’s The Grand Tour trailer here: Clarkson, Hammond, May return

Amazon’s first full-length official trailer for The Grand Tour television series is now live.

The Grand Tour sees the return of former Top Gear hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, touring the world in interesting cars (just like before), but under a brand new banner. The series is helmed by ex-Top Gear producer Andy Wilman, and is due to air on Amazon Prime starting from November 18, 2016.

The three hosts, along with Wilman, have signed up to an initial agreement of 36 episodes over three years, which will be split into three seasons, with episodes airing weekly. It’s believed that Amazon paid a staggering £160 million to sign Clarkson and co., beating our rival streaming service Netflix, which is also believed to have been bidding.

The Top Gear trio left the BBC series in March last year after Clarkson was sacked for allegedly assaulting a show producer. The BBC went on to reboot Top Gear earlier this year with new hosts, although reception on the new format has been mixed.

Recording for The Grand Tour began in July this year, with filming locations including Johannesburg in South Africa, California in the USA, and Whitby in the United Kingdom.

If you want to watch The Grand Tour, you’ll need an Amazon Prime membership. That’ll set you back £7.99 per month, or £79 annually (that’s the equivalent of £6.58 each month). You can also pick up a Prime Video membership (minus the added Prime perks) for £5.99 per month – that’s the cheapest way to watch the series.
