WARNING: The Ultimate LCD Monitors

Such a stink has been kicked up by these that Gordon felt he should set the record straight.

You’re either in one of two camps right now: the first is what I suspect is the majority saying “Where had that article on those crazy nutty LCDs gone?” The second is saying “Told you so!”

So the first group is now saying “Huh?” and the second group is sniggering. Here’s the rub: my (now clearly former God) Liebermann has turned out to be somewhat of a false deity. Look at its track record and you’ll see a list of big promises and limited releases. At one stage there were even rumours the entire company was a scam, but it did eventually release products for review (General Verdict: Good, but heavily overpriced).

Now Liebermann has declared bankruptcy, though it still managed to put out information detailing its latest “unbelievable” monitors after this. Consequently, it is unlikely these beasts will ever see the light of day, (no David, not even as liquidation stock on Misco – Good try!) and we feel you should know.

In keeping with its highly dubious reputation, the Liebermann site is still live and showing no signs of the turmoil behind the scenes, so if you want to check it out for novelty value alone, you still can here. We felt it best to drop our original article from the site though, there’s a reason we have “Trusted” in our name…

So are 19200 x 2400 resolution monitors lost forever? Perhaps not, since we love this reader suggested multi-monitor mounting stand:

It’s certainly less glamorous, but far more legit. You can find more about it here. There’s always a silver lining 🙂

”’Due to popular request”’, here are those Liebermann LCD Sasquatches again. It was The Eels who coined the phrase ”Beautiful Freak”; looking at each of them I personally can’t think of a better description.
