Want the headphone jack back on your iPhone 7? This case is the answer
Arguably the biggest change on the iPhone 7, which came with minimal innovations, was the removal of the headphone port.
Apple’s latest handset featured the company’s proprietary Lightning port instead, forcing those who prefer wired headphones to use an adapter.
But now, a new Indiegogo campaign may hold the answer for those who’d prefer to hook their earbuds up to their new iPhone sans adapter.
The campaign is for the Fuze Case – an iPhone 7 case and battery pack that comes with a built-in 3.5mm port.

What’s more, the case works without using the Lightning port itself, so you’ll still be able to charge the phone when the case is attached.
It’s also adds scratch and shock protection, as well as doubling the battery life of the iPhone 7 itself.
Of course, using a Fuze Case would render the newly added waterproofing feature somewhat superfluous, but it’s a neat idea that will be welcomed by many.
The case itself is not waterproof, so if you eventually get your hands on one and use it on your phone, you’re going to have to be just as careful as you would be if the phone had no waterproofing feature.
Still, we’re glad to see ideas such as the Fuze Case coming to the fore, and hope the campaign manages to hit its $60,000 funding goal.
At the time of writing, the case has managed to rack up almost $10,000 worth of backing, so if you want to help the Fuze team along, visit the page and get pledging.
