While no specs have been released yet by Vizio, it has released official images of the devices it will be unveiling at CES this week. First up let's look at the Ultrabooks. They are going to be 14in and 15.6in in size and considering they won't be shipping until May, we suspect they could be shipping with Intel's new low-power Ivy Bridge chips inside.
Indeed, Vizio has said it won't be referring to the laptops as Ultrabooks in a bid to differentiate themselves from the plethora of laptops we'll be seeing in the coming months, preferring instead to simply call them "thin and lite."
Looking at the pictures we can see that one of the Ultrabooks at least will be getting a pair of USB 3.0 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a HDMI port. As well as the two Ultrabooks, Vizio will be launching a regular 15.6in laptop for "extreme portable performance."
Looking at the all-in-one (AIO) PCs, they look quite different to the offerings from the likes of HP with the AIOs from Vizio shipping with silmilarly styled mouse, keyboard, trackpad and seperate optical drive. The look is certainly striking but it may not appeal to everyones tastes.
We'll be getting up close and personal with the laptops and AIOs in the next few days here in Vegas and will be bringing you all the details and hopefully UK pricing and shipping dates.
