Virgin Media has added six new channels to its TV Anywhere programming roster.
New to the line-up are 4Music, CBS Action, CBS Drama, Extreme Sports, The Horror Channel, and Sony SAB.
This means Virgin’s TV Anywhere service now touts 119 channels, a figure the firm proudly boasts as trumping Sky Go by 48.
There’s a pretty good chunk of programming being added to Virgin Media as a result, with CBS Action bringing Dexter and Star Trek: Enterprise, and CBS Drama offering up CSI, Dallas, and Waterloo Road.
The Horror Channel, meanwhile, brings Dr Who, Attack of the Werewolves, and Grindstone Road, with 4Music proffering tuneage via Today’s 4Music Top 10, and UKHot40.
TV Anywhere is Virgin Media’s ‘on-the-go service’, giving customers the chance to watch Virgin Media on computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
It’s only available on iOS and Android-powered mobiles for now, with Microsoft loyalists condemned to sole PC-viewing thanks to a lack of Windows Phone support.
Yesterday Virgin Media announced its Sky Movies subscribers would now be able to access the Sky Movies Android app, just like iOS users have had the Apple-equivalent option to do for three months.
Unfortunately Android users still won’t be getting access to the Sky Sports equivalent just yet, but Virgin Media assured us it was working on it.
