Virgin Media finally set to launch ‘V6’ 4K UHD TiVo box on November 30?

VIrgin Media has sent out invites for a special event on November 30, where it looks likely to launch its new ‘V6’ 4K UHD TiVo box.

The invitation doesn’t explicitly reference the new 4K box, which is called the Virgin TV V6 in full, although it’s difficult to see the company revealing any other product given what we already know.

VIrgin Media first teased and then (sort of) revealed the V6 way back in August on Twitter.

All that really remains to be seen, therefore, is if Virgin’s managed to slim down the hardware at all – initial reactions to the box back in autumn were mostly focussed around its apparent obesity – how it will affect Virgin Media’s price plans, and the Ultra HD content lineup.

Virgin Media is one of the last big players to join the 4K party, with rival TV provider Sky launching its own UHD-ready Sky Q box way back in early-2016.
