Video: Batman outfit with 23 working gadgets is the greatest cosplay ever

A Batman fan has landed a Guinness World Record by building a fully-functional Batsuit complete with 23 working gadgets.

Julian Checkley, a creature special effects expert, now holds the high water mark for the most functional gadget on a cosplay suit.

Checkley, from Galway, Ireland, headlines the 2017 Gamers’ Edition of the famous old book with his ingenious effort based on the Arkham Origins version of Bruce Wayne’s alter ego.

Among the gizmos concealed within and attached to the Batsuit are a working bat tracker device that sends the whereabouts of baddies back to a screen mounted on the suit’s forearm.

There’s also smoke bombs, a grapnel bun, a respirator and a bat sign that can be projected into the night sky. Checkley’s personal favorite is the gas dispenser. Luckily it only contains Co2.

The life-long comic book fan does this for a living, so if your budget is big enough, it’s not out of the realms of possibility that he’ll make you one.
