Valve gives us a closer look at the Steam Controller

Valve has given us a closer look at the Steam Controller ahead of its official launch in November.

Earlier this week, Valve confirmed the availability dates for the first wave of Steam Machines, the Steam Link and the long-await Steam Controller.

The Steam Controller, which will retail for £39.99, will officially launch in stores on November 10.

But, before then you can take a better look at Valve’s strange peripheral in the video below.

Valve is boasting that the Steam Controller will negate the need for gamers to choose between mouse and controller input.

Controls can be customised on a game-to-game business with the Steam Controller, with any control schemes created by the Steam community available to download.

What’s rather unusual about the Steam Controller is that the front of the controller features two large circular touch pads plus an analogue control stick.

The controller also features twin haptic feedback reactors.

Around back the Steam Controller has trigger buttons with both analogue pull and digital switch options.
