V4 is a pogo stick on steroids

If you love the idea of a pogo stick, but always felt let down when you actually tried one, V4 is for you.

It’s basically a pogo stick on steroids. Instead of limping a couple of inches off the ground, it features adjustable air pressure, so you can propel yourself as high as you think is safe.

The makers recommend starting low. The gauge uses psi to measure pressure – they say choose a quarter of your weight in pounds for your starting psi. Once you get used to that, you can pump in more air. The more you pump in, the stiffer the spring becomes and the higher you pogo. If it becomes too stiff, press the button on top to let out some of the air.

If you’re feeling brave, opt for the V4 Pro – it can leap 10 feet in the air! The standard V4 is a good all-round stick, while the V4 Fit is aimed at fitness. It can still jump high, but won’t be as comfortable.

Pogoing is great exercise, working your legs, arms and core, and it looks like terrific fun. Some of the stunts are insane as well – head to the Indiegogo page and check out the gif of someone leaping off a wall in front of the Eiffel Tower to see what we mean.

How do you get your hands on one of these beasts? It’s passed its funding goal, so pledge $365 (£235) and it will pogo its way to you. Shipping should start in August.
