Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection to offer Uncharted 4 beta access

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will launch in October and bring with it Uncharted 4 beta access.

Sony has confirmed Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will be available on PS4 this October, offering all three of the original Uncharted games in one package.

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception will all be remastered for PS4 for release on October 7 in the US and Europe and October 9 in the UK and Ireland.

Sony explains that this is something its fans have been asking for since the launch of the PS4 in September 2013.

The trio of games are being remastered by developer Bluepoint Games, who have been working closely with Naughty Dog to make sure its engine works with the remastered versions of the games.

“That means not only allowing you to play to single-player campaigns of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in 1080p and 60fps with better lighting, textures and models, but they’re also working on a range of improvements and additions across all three games,” explained Arne Meyer, Community Strategist at Naughty Dog.

But what’s interesting is that you’ll also get exclusive access to the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End multiplayer beta if you buy The Nathan Drake Collection. The multiplayer beta will only be available for a limited time though – similar to the way the Halo 5 multiplayer beta worked with fans purchasing Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

If you pre-order The Nathan Drake Collection, you will receive the Nathan Drake Pack too. This includes single player skins of iconic Drake outfits, the Golden AK-47 and Golden 92FS guns, and even a PS4 dynamic theme if you pre-order through the PlayStation Store.
