Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection demo coming to PS4 this summer

Sony has announced that The Nathan Drake Collection will be getting its very own playable demo ahead of its release this October.

Sony has just revealed the very first screenshots and footage for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. The company also confirmed that it will be getting a playable demo available to download from the Playstation Store later this summer.

Coming from Playstation Blog, a recent hands on with the collection shows Uncharted 2 running at 1080p/60fps with noticeably improved textures and character models.

Bluepoint have said they made adjustments to each game so they are more on par with what players expect from the PS4 whilst remaining true to their “original creative direction.”

According to SCEA social media manager Sid Shuman, not all of the improvements are yet to be implemented.

“”I played unfinished code that was missing a few minor visual effects, but Bluepoint’s loving influence was readily apparent.”

“The studio is upgrading character models, environment textures, lighting, and special effects across the board, bringing all three games as close to visual modernity as possible while ensuring they remain true to their original creative direction.

“As the studio finalizes work on the collection, it will also roll in the assorted control scheme tweaks, gameplay refinements, and subtle mechanical upgrades that evolved through the series across all three games, bringing them into closer gameplay parity.”

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection features remastered versions of the first three Uncharted titles, but does not include any multiplayer modes.. Picking up the game will also grant you access to the upcoming multiplayer beta for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was delayed into 2016 earlier this year so developer Naughty Dog could give “Nathan Drake’s story the closure it deserves” without compromising on the title’s quality with a premature release.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection comes exclusively to PS4 on October 9, with Uncharted 4 to follow in the spring of 2016.
