Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta kicks off this December

The multiplayer beta for Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4 will begin on December 4, Sony has confirmed.

Sony has announced the starting date for Uncharted 4’s multiplayer beta, consider it an early christmas present from Naughty Dog.

The beta will begin on December 4 and will run until December 13 on PS4.

This news comes from a new trailer for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, the very same title you will need to gain to access to the beta.

Access to Uncharted 4’s multiplayer beta comes included with pre-orders and early adopters of The Nathan Drake Collection, due out October 9.

The Nathan Drake collection will compile every single Uncharted title released on the PS3, fully remastered and upscaled for PS4.

Each game will be rendered at 1080p and 60 frames per second, so Nathan Drake will look extra smooth when murdering pirates and climbing up stuff.

The collection will also include a photo mode and additional trophy support for each game.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was delayed to March 2016 earlier this year, partly so Naughty Dog could ensure the game was the best they could possibly make it.

Neil Druckmann and Bruce Staley, the minds behind The Last of Us, are now helming the project.

“Since we showed you our first gameplay reveal of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, more of the game and story have come together, and it’s become clear to us that this game is much more ambitious than we originally envisioned,” Druckmann said.

“After spending so many years with Nathan Drake, he means a lot to the team, and telling the climactic chapter of his adventures is a task we don’t take lightly–this game deserves every bit of the attention to detail, precise pacing, and nuanced storytelling Naughty Dog is known for.”

“So we’ve made the difficult choice of pushing the game’s release date. Giving us a few extra months will make certain that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End not only meets the team’s high standards but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title.”

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will release worldwide on March 18, 2016 exclusively for the PS4.
