Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End single player DLC will be completed before the team at Naughty Dog returns to work on its prototypes for The Last of Us 2, creative director Neil Druckmann has confirmed.
In an interview with Gamesradar, Druckmann discussed the plan for developer going forward.
“Before my partner, Bruce [Straley] and I, my directing partner, came on to Uncharted 4 we were working on prototypes for different ideas within The Last Of Us universe,” he said. Druckmann also hints that the team were considering working on something completely separate from both Uncharted and TLOU, “without going into specific genres [there were] ideas outside the The Last Of Us.”

However, Druckmann notes that all those plans had to be shelved in order to work on the forthcoming Uncharted 4. “all those things were left on hold when we had to come onto Uncharted 4 to direct the project.”
But Druckmann does give us a timeframe for when the team will return to the world of fungified clickers, “Our next focus is the single player [Uncharted 4] DLC and then, once we have enough resources, resurrect all those prototypes; see where we're at, see where the teams at, what they’re excited for and go from there."
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End launches exclusively on PS4 on May 10.
